    Physical description:

Larani has a moderate physique maintained by rigorous workouts in the holodeck. She classes her looks as average though others might say slightly above. Her hair she tends to wear in a pony tail down her back to hang loosely around her shoulder blades.

    Life before Starfleet:

Larani's father was also a scientist and took her with him on his explorations of the universe - instilling in her a love for the unusual and different. Little does she know of her mother except that she 'had to leave' when she was a little girl and her father never really talked about it.
Schooling was through programs and at various schools depending on where her father was currently working. As such she's managed to learn many languages enough not to have to rely on a translator. And picked up many 'little' skills from hanging around on starships for half her life.
Eventually though she went back to Earth for higher level learning but yearned to get back out among the stars and thought Starfleet was the best way to achieve all her goals.

    Starfleet record:

With her desire to be always out there looking - finding new things; Larani has always tried to finagle positions on exploratory craft, and some of the smaller sized vessels at that. (It being a well known fact things tend to 'happen' to the smallest first). And though offers for positions on larger craft have come up she has remained true to her desires and turned them down, even if it hurts promotional chances.

    Psychological portrait:

Classed as stable and logically thinking she still has that fascination with the unknown which can prompt her to make choices not always in the best interests of the crew. A trait that has kept her from too many long term positions on exploratory ships. Another quirk is her way of thinking - it doesn't always fall into the normal scientific mould as she thinks one of the things keeping mankind from reaching full potential is it's belief only in what it knows and builds only upon that - she for instant thinks Einstein may have been wrong about many things and it's still handicapping us today. Logic is not always right.
